CNC Machining
At Actron Engineering, we provide high-performance manufacturing solutions tailored for the aerospace and defense sectors focused on
Meeting the Mission Through Experience and Capabilities. By combining decades of technical expertise with state-of-the-art machining, we transform the most complex engineering designs into mission-critical components. Our AS9100D certified processes ensure that every part—from specialized prototypes to high-volume production runs—meets the rigorous standards and uncompromising tolerances required by the world’s leading prime contractors.
CNC Machining Capabilities
Precision Milling (Horizontal, Vertical, & Multi-Axis)
Our milling department is engineered for versatility and extreme accuracy. Utilizing advanced 3-axis (up to X120”-Y90”-Z31”), 4-axis (up to X50”-Y30”-Z28”), and 5-axis (up to X64”-Y50”-Z32”) vertical and horizontal machining centers, we produce complex geometries and deep-pocketed chassis with unmatched consistency. Our multi-axis capabilities reduce setup times and eliminate handling errors, allowing us to machine intricate features on multiple faces of a part in a single operation. Whether working with lightweight aluminum or tough exotic alloys, our milling services deliver the structural integrity your mission demands.
High-Performance Turning
Actron Engineering’s turning centers, with envelopes up to 14”, are designed for speed and precision, providing high-quality cylindrical components with superior surface finishes. We specialize in producing everything from simple bushings to complex shafts and housings, maintaining tight tolerances across varied production scales. By integrating live tooling and sub-spindle capabilities, we can complete secondary operations—such as cross-drilling and milling—directly on the lathe, ensuring maximum efficiency and part-to-part uniformity.
Precision Swiss Turning
For intricate, small-diameter components, our Swiss turning department offers the ultimate solution in micro-precision with envelopes up to 20mm. This technology is ideal for long, slender parts that require high aspect ratios and complex detailing. By supporting the workpiece immediately adjacent to the cutting tool, our Swiss machines eliminate deflection, allowing us to hold tolerances that standard lathes cannot achieve. This capability is essential for the high-reliability connectors and fasteners used in advanced aerospace electronics.
Advanced Automation & FMS
To meet the demands of high-volume production without sacrificing quality, Actron utilizes sophisticated automation and Horizontal Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS) with up to 48 pallets. These multi-pallet systems allow for continuous, "lights-out" manufacturing, significantly increasing throughput and reducing lead times for our clients. By automating the material handling and pallet-loading processes, we maintain a highly stable production environment that ensures cost-effective scalability for even the most ambitious programs.
